    Hide cells based on value

    Hi everyone,

Macros are not my thing when it comes to Excel but I have the feeling the one I want might be pretty simple and easy.

Ok, I have done some reserch and I have found a few different things but nothing really that I need and I dont really know how to edit them to make them work for me and what I need to do.

What I need is a macro to hide cells that are not filled with visble information. The key there is visible because all the cells have a index match formula in them. I created a helper coloum thinking I could be smart and find a macro to hide cells based on their value. So all rows that i wanted to keep i endered a 1 in Coloum A and then on the far right endtered a sum function that would add all the cells in that row together to give me a number either 0 or greater than zero. All rows that sum to zero need to be hidden.

Kicker time.....this is one sheet but i enter different names to get different information. Its like a report based off the name enter in a box....so this has to be flexable and change as the name changes.

Ok so I'm hopin this is possible and that it can be done easily.

    Thanks

I saw a solution once that used a key column where values (per row) were determined by a formula, and by then using an autofilter on that particular column, rows would be displayed or hidden depending on the filter criteria. Would that be something you could use?
