    Angry Excel Data Formatting Summary to Columns

    Hi There

    I have a list of part numbers and cross references displayed in 3 columns.

    A - Supplier Code B - Supplier Part Number C - Our Part Number
    SUP1 1234 E5654
    SUP1 4321 E5654
    SUP2 1111 E5654
    SUP3 0125 E2222
    SUP1 5555 E2222

    I need to format the data so that there is 1 line per Our part number (from column C) and have the supplier code as columns eg.

    A- Our Part Number B - SUP1 C- SUP1 D-SUP2 E-SUP3
    E5654 1234 4321 1111
    E2222 5555 0125

    Any ideas how this can be achieved easily ? There are around 6000 rows on the spreadsheet.

    Hello emzipoo4u,

    I think you have provided us with a small sample of your requirements, which can vary widely.

    What if you have Part Numbers from C through to Z or more, with a possible number of more than three suppliers for the same Part Number?

    I do not know how to write Code to cater for a variety of possibilities, maybe the more experienced Forum members could give it a go for us! I know there are many who would like to show us how it can be done.

    Based on what you had given me, and assuming that layout is a constant, I have entered formulas for you on Sheet2 to extract the Data you need.It may not be the best solution, but at east it is a start.
