VBA to import data to another workbook

    Dear All,

I have searched and searched for some help to my question as well as purchasing John Walkenbach VBA book but, im still really stuck

I need a macro code that updates all data in sheet (Upload) to a new sheet (in the book under Master) although the file Master would be stored C:\WOR\SHARED-WOR2-A\Capital Delivery\Planning & Performance NEW\Performance & Planning\Programme\03. Year 3\Master.

I want the user to be able to press the upload button (on the sheet) and this will transfer all the data to the master sheet ( i will have 4 of these upload sheets). The data needs not to overwrite the previous data.

I can do this by recording a macro etc but want it to look more professional.

I have enclosed the book as an example, any help would be amazing!

first post so please be kind.

Also i am a regular on this as well i suck on VBA

    Cheers
    Upload_AS.xls

Re: VBA to import data to another workbook

So you want the data from 4 sheets in one workbook to be updated into another tab of the same workbook?

Re: VBA to import data to another workbook

    Hi thanks for the reply

    Sorry for the confusion,

I placed the Master within the same upload file as an example.

Basically, i will have 4 workbooks of data all called upload that will need to be uploaded to a one master workbook (which i will now attache) The sheets once completed by the individual user would press the upload button in the Upload workbook and all the data (from row 9 to the last line of data that is variable depending on the amounts of projectsMaster.xls) will transpose to the Master booklet (same columns) and than I can use the collated data to create some reports etc.

I could copy and paste out but I would like the process to be nice and streamlined. As 4 individuals are uploading from their own workbooks I need the data not to delete or copy over previous data.

I hope that makes sense now? I will add the Master workbook and the destination of the workbook is the same as listed above

    your help would be greatful,

It wil lalso allow me to develop and learn some further VBA skills.

    thnak you
