    Nested IF Formula Using Variables

    Hello,

I am having trouble with creating this formula. It keeps giving me the following error, "Compile Error- Expected: )" and it highligths the TRUE part of the code. Can someone please take a look and see if you can identify where the problem is?

Any assistance will be much appreciated.

I don't think you can use the Cells function when you define a formulaR1C1. Usually you use the following format:

The formula works fine with the cells function before I extend it into a nested formula. I would really prefer to keep the style I am already using, as I am unfamiliar with the FormulaR1C1 syntax.

I think you need to use double quotations for the words True and False.

    ""TRUE"" instead of "TRUE"

    ""FALSE"" instead of "FALSE"

John, thank you for your response.
I tried your change and now it is giving me a new compile error: "Expected: end of statement". I believe I have the correct number of parentheses. Any clue on where to take it from here?

I tried to figure it out, test this on a copy and see if it does what you want.
