Urgent: Create a Dynamic Dropdown list based on a specific criteria

I have Maintained a Master XL which is linked to another remote XL file and through INDIRECT.EXT function i fetch details from remote XL and load it in Master XL.

In the remote excel file there is a range of data which needs to be queried and a dynamic dropdown needs to be created in Master XL. Pl help

Eg, This is the range data in the remote XL. I need to create a dropdown list in Master XL containing list of Permenant Employees(X & Z in this example).

Employee Status Employee Name
Permenant X
Temporary Y
Permenant Z

Hi,

I have attached an XL which contains the data in sheet1.Remote XL.xlsx

I will have a consolidaiton XL which will query this range Sheet1!A2:B10 and list all permanent employees(employee ID) in a dropdown list.
If it is a single remote file then I can define a Name using Name Manager and use this name in Data Validation list.

The challenge here is that I will have hundreds of such remote XL files which will contain different sets of data.
