Formula Question - Value Lookup - Part 2

Since no response from Excel - general, reposting it here. I assume this will need a macro/VBA treatment !
    ---
    Hello Everyone,

Pls refer to the following table.

    Name apple (y/n) laptop
    john y hp
    john y lenovo
    john y apple
    john y sony
    john y asus
    smith n lenovo
    smith n asus
    smith n hp

For a name in the "Name" column, if you find the word apple in the "laptop" column, we need to substitute "Y" in "apple(y/n) column for all occurences of that particular name (in the above example "john"). If there is no occurence, we need to subsitute "N". How do we do this using formulae ?

    Thanks!
    Girish
