autofilter-new sheet macro with drop down list

To start off, I am very much a beginner when it comes to writing VBA and understanding macros. This is what I have though:

I have a list of 8000 people with 15 columns across that need to seperated by location number into seperate workbooks. I have a macro that can do this.

My issue is that one of the columns contain a data validation drop down list that references another sheet for the 12 different options that show on the drop down list. When I run my macro, this is not carried over.

I was hoping that if there is a way to solve this issue by adding more code to this macro or another way to embed this drop down list to carry over.

I have tried adding the list of items I am using for the drop down list into the top column of sheet 1 hoping it would copy over when I run the macro but that does not work either.

Ended up adding columns to my master list than within the macro adding some code to hide those columns for each individual workbook that was created prior to saving and closing
