VBA to truncate the data in field

Hi:

I need VBA Macro to perform the below task.

Please refer to attached sheet.
Refer to column D.
What i want to do is truncate the field in column D as follows:

Delete all characters that starts with numerical number, #, & *
Example:

OFFICE DEPOT #1079 truncate to OFFICE DEPOT
AMERICAN AI 0010640314695 truncate to AMERICAN AI
HI *WINECNTRYGIFTBSKT truncate to HI
MCDONALD'S M7767 truncate to MCDONALD'S ( Here it is important that result I get is MCDONALD'S and not MCDONALD'S M)

Please help achieve this..
