    Question Automatically adding a row

I made up a spreadsheet for our quality department, turned out very nice but one thing they asked for was to be able to auto add a row if they have more then one call out on a dimension
    For example:
    A dimension will sometimes come on a print as (X2) 0.025 +,- 0.001
The (X2) means there are two places to check this dimension
So on my spreadsheet I put a column in that they can place the (X) number in and it will add that many rows.
I have found some formulas online but they have a problem with having a header in that column and having more then one copy of my form on a sheet.

Is there anyone that might have a idea on how to do this
If there is more information needed please let me know

    Thanks

    Re: Automatically adding a row

    Hi,

If I understand you correctly, then this code will add the x number of rows you want by putting the requested number in column B. The code is as follows:

and a worked example is attached.

    Hope this helps.

Cursory look doesn't bring up any red flags. What the problem you are facing with the modifications you made?

    Re: Automatically adding a row

I would like to send you a copy of the spreadsheet I have, but I'm not sure how to attach it.
There is more to this spreadsheet that I'm dealing with, the adding a row is just a part of it.
Not sure but I think I'm trying do more then Excel can do.
If you know how to attach a file please let me know

To attach a workbook, click on Go Advanced, then either either the paperclip icon or go to the middle of the webpage and click on Manage Attachments.
