Smile Merging many excel files in to single excel file

    Hello,

I want macro to combine excel files in a folder having same title row to be converted into single workbook

    Specifications:
    1) All input excel files have same title row.
    2) Sheets of output workbook should be named based on date column in input excel files.
    3) all rows having same date should be copied to respective output sheet.
    4) output excel sheets should contain one extra column specifying from which workbook the row is copied.

Let me explain this scenario with simple example

    Inputs:

    Test_1.xls

    Name Task Date
    Ramu Writing 2-1-2013
    Ravi Reading 2-1-2013
    Jacob Playing 3-1-2013
    Julie Gaming 3-1-2013

    Test_2.xls

    Name Task Date
    Mary Cleaning 2-1-2013
    Rakhi Washing 2-1-2013
    Bourne Sleeping 3-1-2013

    Output:

    Final.xls

    Sheet1 - 2-1-2013

    Excel_Sheet Name Task Date
    Test1 Ramu Writing 2-1-2013
    Test1 Ravi Reading 2-1-2013
    Test2 Mary Cleaning 2-1-2013
    Test2 Rakhi Washing 2-1-2013
    Sheet2 - 3-1-2013

    Excel Sheet Name Task Date
    Test1 Jacob Playing 3-1-2013
    Test1 Julie Gaming 3-1-2013
    Test2 Bourne Sleeping 3-1-2013

Please help me creating macro for the above scenario. Appreciate your help.
