Please Help with Changing a File Name that (I think) is Embedded in the Macros Code

    Hello,

We have an .xml template at work and the template name will appear as changed on the folders, but when it opens, the template name appears right next to the changed name.

For example, the Original template name is Financial Test. I changed the name to Financial Module and the name appears like this: Financial Test - Financial Module. If I change the name again to Financial Test 1, then the new name appears like this: Financial Test 1 - Financial Module.

I even copied the worksheets in a new folder, and the template name still appears, so this is why I think it is embedded in the code.

How can I delete the template name? Does anybody have some way to change the code to delete the name?

The file is not locked. It was originally read-only so I had to save it through "save as".

I am not familiar with Macros or Visual Basic code, so if you could provide additional steps, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Kati

Nevermind. I fixed it by changing the caption on the file.
