    Offset not working for current selection

    This is my code, when the user scans a barcode the value is added into the spreadsheet, and then I would like it to move right and up if the string is 'START-LOCATION', and left and up if the string is 'END-LOCATION', right now after scanning nothing happens

    So the scanner might enter the two text strings "END-LOCATION" or "START-LOCATION"?

    A worksheet_change event in your sheet can watch all cell entries, and when it sees one of those text strings entered it will move the cursor appropriately:
