Suppress protection messages on selected cells

    Hi,

I am having some trouble with the worksheet protection.

I do not want the read-only message to appear when a user is trying to enter data in a selected cell of a protected worksheet. The cells do need to be selectable, because several macro's (which enter data from a userform) depend on the selected cell. I've tried Application.DisplayAlerts = False, but this does not seem to work for me.

When a user is trying to edit a protected, selected cell, I just want nothing to happen.

Does anybody have a solution for this problem? I'm using Excel 2010.

    Thanks in advance!
