compare oracle table and excel data

    Hi

I am not sure I am posting the correct forum

I have one column excel data ( PN,phone number) about 19000 rows

I have another table in ORACLE, which also has one column as PN, about 19000 rows

how do I migrate this oracle table to excel and compare, and verify there are the same?
    or any other approach?

    Thanks
    james

    James,
I have another table in ORACLE. Is this table in a excel as well? If so, could you please upload a sample excel book? Click "Go Advance" and half-way you see attachment.

no, this table is not in a excel, I am sure that table data is the same as that data in excel, but I need to prove it
the excel file is generated from our finance portal ,from the oracle backend query

    James,
I am not familiar with Oracle, but I did a quick google search "Extract Data from Oracle to Excel"

This was the first hit. If this doesn't work for you, then you may wish to search more on your own.

Once you have the table in Excel, you could import both to Access and run an unmatch query to find any differences.

Import or link both tables that you have in Excel to Access. In Access there is a query wizard, unmatched query. Run it. It will tell you all situations where the values are in one table and not in the other. You will have to run it twice. One from each direction.

    Hi, James,

I recommend esCalc to help you, it's free one. It can access and retrieve data from Oracle database and Excel, and then compare according to your requirements, and then export them to Excel again or other formats you need.

    Hope it can help you.
