How do you write the current time to a variable and check it later?

I am running a sub procedure that needs a way to break out after X amount of time, say 10 seconds later or so.

Basically I need a way to store the time 10 seconds from now as a variable and check the time while stuck in my "main_Program". Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance.

I've updated the code slightly towards my goal. The problem now is I run out of stack space. Not sure how to get around currently.

Made another breakthrough but I'll have to test it a while before I mark this thread as solved.
