Question Copied text during Recoerd, but no original file when macro used

    Hi,

I receive .csv files from energy meters. They have a number of colums with data in. I have several macros I run in order to clarify the data. One of the macros requires a list of data to be filled in. If I recored a macro and copy this list from another document, will that mean that the macro will try do that everytime? What I want the macro to do is to fill in that list, but from "memory" not from another document. Does that mean I will have to write the list in while recording? The same question applies to a formula. I have a formula I made that is about 4 lines long on the excel text entry bar. I want this formaula to be filled in wehn I copy run the macro. Does that mean I must record the macro with me filling it in?

    Thanks

Another question while you might be answering the first one. I want to use something like this OR(D4=$Q$7:$Q$20), but it gives me a #VALUE error. If I write out the OR(D4=$Q$7, D4=%Q$8....) it works fine. Reason?
