My first post, please be gentle. Would like to give thanks to all over the years for not needing to post a question myself just using the wealth of knowledge already available.
I have searched but can't find a solution to my issue but I'm certain it's come up before. I have a decentish knowledge of vba so I will simplify my problem as much as possible.
Simply put I have a workbook containing 5 identically formatted sheets, the first sheet is a consolidation sheet of the other 4 using simple "=sheet1!A1+sheet2!A1..." etc
Column A contains the 'Names', Column B contains the 'Value'.
I would like to sort all of the sheets based on the value in column B on Sheet1 (the Consolidated sheet). Easy enough so far
My problem is however some of the names are subtotaled (not actually subtotaled only for the purposes of the value to be taken into consideration in column B).
The only thing to distinguish a 'group' is the 'TOTAL - xxxx' in the name column under them and an empty line above the first member of the group.
Difficult to explain so I have attached 2 workbooks, the Raw has the data as received and the Final is how I would like it to look. Neither have macros on them as I'm not sure how to approach it.
I appreciate this maybe a lot harder than it looks in which case just an idea of how I should attack the problem would be extremely useful as the only ways I can think of are all extremely elaborate.
Thanks in advance for any help
David
