why not open the data file ? i's the best solution for a beginner, otherwise you have to make many changes to your code.
Do you want read only the data ? not change them ? in that case need to open the file.

Re: Use Closed Workbook as Data Source

It's because there are so many users that will used the userform. The main sheet(userform) will saved in the Shared drive and the date source will saved in my personal drive. We have too many systems/tools that were open and i that's why i want closed workbook as data source. Thanks for your reply.

Why would you save the data in your personal drive?

How will other users access it?

Re: Use Closed Workbook as Data Source

Hi Norie, it's because the data source is too large and we are not allow
to saved files in our main shared drive that are too large. Other users were also have
an access in my personal drive. I want the userform
to link the data source in my personal drive and it should be in close workbook.

Fyi forum rules suggest waiting about 24 hrs before bumping. If you are in a hurry, pay sites might provide an alternative

Other users will not be able to access the workbook if it is in your drive, you're going to have to find another solution I'm afraid

Re: Use Closed Workbook as Data Source

    Is that a good idea?

Doesn't it make more sense to put the file in a folder/drive that everybody who needs it has access to?
