    Hi, naveenkumarsjce,

    a litlle bit of overkill to my taste:

    And I won´t really use a function for that but rather a procedure. There should be any kind of feedback if the function did fulfill what it was about to do.

    @AB33
    We can not see it untill you attach your sample in excel book.
    I do not agree as this function can only be called from inside a VBA code.

    Ciao,
    Holger

    Hi Holger ,
    Whether it is a sub or a function, or calling a function from anywhere I could not give a feeback by just looking at the code.
    You can, that is your choice.

    Hi, naveenkumarsjce,

    Macros And Functions, Writing Your Own Functions In VBA and VBA Functions along with the VBA-Help and the Object Browser in the VBE (F2) should deliver a start.

    Ciao,
    Holger
