Fill company name down column with gaps

I've attached a before/after example that should make this less confusing, so please bear with me:

I have a series of vertical rankers. There's a "Company A" ranker, then an empty row followed by a "Company B" ranker, followed an empty row by a "Company C" ranker, and so on. (The real file has hundreds of companies.)

I'd like to add a column and label each row based on which company it belongs to. So, for instance, every item in the "Company A" ranker would have "Company A" next to it in Column A. This will allow me to quickly filter and select items from different rankers.

Hopefully this attachment clears up what I'm looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
