    Smile Read Only VBA Code

    Hi Folks

I'm looking for a way of setting a workbook which is used by a number of people in the office to open as read only whenever they open it, but when i open it its writable.

    Any ideas?

    Re: Read Only VBA Code

If you set the readonly property when saving then a dialog will be shown allowing opening as either read-only or editable.
I assume you do not trust your users to open read only?

If the workbook is readonly why not keep the editable version elsewhere and replace the the readonly one as and when changes are made. You can then use the file properties to set it as readonly.
    Cheers
