Search/List Box (Userform) cannot find existing Date value in the database

Hi,

I am trying to make a search userform in Excel. The idea is the user could type in a date in the search box and all the record matching this date would show up in the listbox.

Thanks to this forum I am able to create something. However I could not get it to work. For example when I search by "05/03/2016" no result comes up.

When I search by the year "2016" it seems to work.

But when I search by month or the date "05/03" it doesn't work either.

I have attached the file here. Any help is appreciated.

Sorry forgot to mention this:

In the first record there are two dates "Purchase Date" and "Expiration Date" with year of 2016

When I search by "2016" this record should only show up once however it shows up twice. Any way to fix it?
