Check current list against Original list and Copy down if incorrect

    Hi all,

I had great sucess here last time, hoping it will continue.

What I have is two columns. Column A will never change, column B will change depending upon the sales each person does in a week. If no sales are done that persons name is excluded from the list in column B.

    E.g
    A B
    1 2
    2 4
    3 5
    4 6
    5 7
    6 8

Here we have all the sales people in column A (1 to 6) and the current weeks sellers in column B ( 2 to 8). What I have recorded so far is their total sales per week for the year. What I would like the macro to do is check column B against column A and determine if the names match, if they do it will go down a row and check the next row. If not, it will copy all the remaining data in column B and paste it 1 row down until the information in column B matches that in column A.

What I would absolutely love is if the source data (current weeks sellers and seller totals (column B and C) could be copied across from the source document (currentweek40.xls) with a click of the macro, in the order specified by the steps laid out above. So all data would be copied if B and A dont match, it would shift 1 row down, until they do. However, each week column C will change as it will be filled with the previous weeks data. E.g. Week 1's data = Column C, Week 2's data = Column D etc.

    Thanks everyone,

    Expecting great results.

    Xiophoid.

I have added a sample spreadsheet in the hopes that it will help clarify my question and help with finding a solution.
