Macro to fill in signature and date blocks

I have student workbooks with 100+ worksheets in each. Throughout the course, the course manager needs to review each gradesheet and input his name and the date into two blocks on the worksheet. The name block already uses a drop-down list to select a name.

I'd like to make a simple macro that allows the course manager to input his name and today's date into each sheet automatically with a single-keystroke macro.

Is this possible? When I tried to record the macro, the selection of the course manager's name from the dropdown doesn't record. Also, how can I automatically input the date into the second box?

    Thanks in anticipation!

Hmmm... I didn't think this would be so difficult!

All I want to do is to select a worksheet in a book, hit a macro key, and... voilą... today's date pops into a cell, and the supervisor's name pops into another cell.
