need macro to hide/unhide columns through multiple checkboxes

Hi, I need a way for users to select a range of criteria (am trying to do it with checkboxes but open to suggestions) that will display on a graph. The criteria not selected will need their rows to be hidden so that the legend does not show on the graph.

Attached is a spreadsheet where I am able to select (hide/unhide) the criteria in col A ie appt types. These checkboxes hide a number of columns that are adjacent. I want to be able to select from those types and then select various regions to compare them for the given criteria. This involves hiding non-adjacent columns and it may also be asking it to hide a column already hidden by the selection of criteria.

the columns to be hidden/unhidden are HM - OS

I know very little coding so please keep any suggestions geared to a learner. thank you.

Hi, I've found a way to work around the problem rather than solve it so will not look for help with this now. thanks.
