Transpose a set of 6 rows to one column and repeat for next columns

    Hello All,

I'm a newbie to this forum, and I am in need of serious help because me=excel idiot.

I have a rather large set of data. Basically I have data in 42 rows by 89 columns.

I need to transpose the data in one single column, taking every six cells in the column and making one row out of it, the next six cells in the column and making a row below that one, and so on and so forth. Then I need to take the data in the next column and repeat.

Half of my problem has been answered in another thread, http://www.excelforum.com/excel-prog...n-one-row.html.

Unfortunately I need to get this process to carry over to the next 89 columns.

I have a sample data set attached. I'd like the output to be on a separate sheet so I can copy and paste it to a template I have ready. If anyone can come up with a macro for this, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately I get an error when I run that macro.

I just copied and pasted the code into a module and ran the macro.

Is there something else I am missing?

    Thanks, protonLeah. Much appreciated.

    I'm not on a mac.

Unfortunately I can't get either of those to work.

I'm not sure if this matters, and I apologize if I am making this harder than it is but my data does not have a header at intervals like the examples attached do (i.e. no "sn=1, sn=2").

I have my actual data set attached with the output I would like to achieve.Sample Data Set 2.xlsm

    Labamba,
I seem to remember the attached document had appeared in this forum a while back. I am one of the contributors to the thread and seem to remember you had more than 10 answers to the thread. Andrew provided you a solution with out a loop. Marcol also did a formula. Ola and Mike had also contributed.
