determine the workbook from which a process is called

Hi,

is there any way to determine from which workbook a process has been called ?
I call remotely a function by clicking on a shape, but then using application.caller only returns the name of the shape
I tried to get to parent and so on, but it does not work

any workarounds / better ways to do this?

if it's called from clicking a shape then Activeworkbook

of course! didn't think of that! even if later I think I switch focus, right when the function is called I can determine who made the call...
