Refer to calculated or unknown column

How can I refer to a column at a certain distance from another column? Let's say i want to refer to the column that's 80 steps to the right of column C, how can i do this? (The 80 steps is not static that's why i cant just look and see what column's 80 steps to the right..)

Very similar to refering to a row at a certain distance, e.g. Set exampleRange = otherRange("A2:A" & 2+80) (that might not be the correct way, but i hope you understand what i want to do)

Re: Refer to calculated or unknown column

Thanks! But i just realized i posted in the wrong section. What i actually need to do is to specify the number of columns to be returned by a vlookup function (not VBA).. Maybe you still can help

    perhaps
    =vlookup(searchFor,searchHere,transpose(row(indirect("3:"&3+80))), False)
you can replace the +80 with another calculation
