Unhappy Excel 2010 Tutorial 12 Case Problem 4 The Brass Broker Part 5

I need help with Excel 2010 Tutorial 12 Case Problem 4 The Brass Broker part 5. I need to write a macro named insert_Trans to copy the data from the Transaction worksheet and insert it at the top of the list of transactions in the Auctions Account worksheet. The macro should include the following:

An if statement that verifies that there is enough money in the auction account to cove the transaction. If there i not enough money, the macro should prevent the transaction from being entered into the auction account and notify the user with a message box, indicating how much money is in the account.

If the transaction is covered by the account, copy the values from the Transaction worksheet into the Auction Account worksheet. After the values have been copied, use a message box to notify the user of a successful transaction along with the current account balance. Replace the values in the Transaction worksheet with blanks.

I thank you now for any help that can be provided.

    Thanks for your time!
    Vell

    Welcome to the forum.

Being blunt, it's coursework or homework. And you're not asking for help, you're asking for someone to do it for you.

Try doing smaller parts of the task, like comparing the values and displaying the message box. Record a macro while you copy data from one sheet to another, and so on. Then try and stitch the bits together.

If you don't try to do it yourself, you're not going to learn anything.

Thank you for being blunt, but I'm going to be blunt as well, not looking for someone to do it for me, I have been working on this for three days now. I have tried many different things to get this to work, that why I was asking for any help that can be provided, all I was looking for was a little help so I could know what I was doing wrong. So if you want to help then help if not, Please save being blunt for some else.

    Thank you!

I'm sorry if I misinterpreted your requirements, intention and expectation.

If you wish to share your work to date, that is, a sample workbook with typical data and your code, then someone may be able to offer some advice and guidance.

So far, you have simply written out the question, apparently, verbatim. For anyone to help, they'd need to see the workbook, its structure and content, plus any code that you have with a description of what works and what doesn't.

No one can tell you what you have done or are doing wrong unless you tell them what you have done.

    regards, TMS
