Hi,

I have an excel 2007 workbook (which I am saving as 1997-2003 .XLS file for the rest of the company to read) with approx 20 visible worksheets which I intend to distribute via a web link. This means the file opens in a browser as read only with an unreadable file name. To make things easier for the recipients I have created a 'homepage' with hyperlinks to navigate around the worksheets.

Problem being, as you click on each hyperlink the file attempts to save. With 3 options Yes, No & Cancel. As the file is read only, 'Yes' doesn't work and 'No' allows you to proceed to the destination but then offers the same problem the next hyperlink you click on.

I have tried using macro button as an alternative but this give me further problems. At least the hyperlinks work by pressing 'No' all the time but not ideal.

I don't understand why the file is trying to save as I am not changing anything on the file! My consideration is to include some VBA script upon opening to save the file to the users home drive but this file is 5Mb and I am distributing on a weekly basis.
