Choose max vlaue in a range and insert data

Hi folks,
I have a workbook which has alphanumeric data as lot ids. I would like to find the max value thru vb code and insert a row at the end of that particular lot series (like AAA, AAB or AAC).
I will appreiciate if someone can help me. I am attaching a sample workbook
