Macro stops at colleague but not with me

I have a macro where I want to automatically import a text file. The macro works fine for me, but not for my colleague for whom the macro is intended - and I can't figure out why...

When my colleague runs the macro it stops at the line:

it might be because the .refresh BackgroundQuery already is = to false
so you should ask excel to determine the state

Hi Scott, sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately the spreadsheet is pretty extensive, so I would'nt be able to upload a sample. Is there some other way to solve it, by, for example, adding your suggestion to the rest of my original macro?

not sure, you could try just taking out the line that doesn't work for your cowoker and see if it runs then, you can manually set the background refresh to false under the data tab, connections then select the connection and click properties then uncheck background refresh
