    Hi, Tegpreet,

please reply as soon as possible
Maybe it would help all those who wished to answer when you attach a workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include BEFORE/AFTER sheets if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

Re: Copy specific columns from one workbook to another workbook

    Hi, Tegpreet,

still some questions as no "After" has been supplied with the workbooks (not even a description on how to change Data/Validation or where it should come from).

The whole concept isnīt clear to me: shall only one cell (the one from Column A) be copied with the respnding cells being a dropdwon in the next? Where will the lists for the validation come from?

You should maybe attach the wanted result as well to have a look at.

    Ciao,
    Holger

Re: Copy specific columns from one workbook to another workbook

    Hi,
Thanks very much for the reply... Let me elaborate on the requirement,
From the source workbook file i need to copy two columns A and C (With its max row values available) and copy it into the target workbook..
And when pasting to the target file, the source workbook A column value should be copied directly 2 target wrkbook in the same format..
But for Column C, the values corresponding to the values in Column A should be grouped and made into a dropdown and displayed as shown in the target wrkbook..
