Is it possible to create a button to add a field to a pivot chart?

I have a pivot chart with loads of different filters but is it possible to create a button which when clicked will add a field to the pivot chart axis?

I want to be able to add 'dates' to my pivot chart but I need to be able to turn this on and off easily as depending on what you're viewing, seeing dates might not be appropriate.

What I'd like is a command button which when clicked will add the 'date' line to my axis. Is this possible? Or do you have to do this in the 'pivot chart options' menu? I'm after a one click solution...
