hey guys,
a friend of mine had set a password for "VBA-->Tools-->Reference" and he has left the organisation.
Now I want to modify the references, but can not access it.
Does anyone know how to recover/deactivate such passwords?

If he is a friend of yours, why not phone him and ask him for the password?

if at first you don't succeed try doing it the way your wife told you to
Joseph, I thing Pete reported the post but moderation hasn't reacted yet - OP should be banned normally....
Eventhough it isnt allowed to ask help with such problems, I am somewhat gratefull the OP did.
I did not know about the option and am now protecting some of the macro's I made for work.

Pepe, I was trying to advise the op that he would not get assistance (banning seems disproportionate to me?)
Try it on the Code Cage or on Mr Excel or Ozgrid and see what happens.. Anyway, it's EF's policy here....

1) He was my colleague. He doesn't remember the password. It was 2 years ago.
2) I did not realize I was breaking rules. Apologies!!
Due to those references I am stuck.
