    Formatting of acell

    Hi All

Just wondering is it possible to format a cell based on the value in that cell

    for example

Format cell A1 to ;;;"N" if the value in A1 is N1 or N2 or 1N or 2N
Or format cell A1 to ;;;"R" if the value in A1 is R or r

    Thanks in advance

Probably the closest you'll get is
    Number format > Custom
    Formula: copy to clipboard

This prefixes your entered text with 3 semi-colons.
You can't change the letter case, or add any other conditions, without reverting to VBa and using the Worksheet_Change Event.
