Text to Row instead of to column comma separated and associate related cells

    Hi guys,

I am a big noob to this forum and to Macros. Is there a macro that will allow me to create text to columns from a comma separated cell, but also associate the cell to its left automatically?

I apologize if my explanation is not very clear. I have attached an excel file to exemplify what I need. I have over 600 rows that needs this done.

    Cheers

    Hey AB33,

Thanks for the response. Maybe I am very bad at this, but the file you attached doesn't seem to have a formula deriving the rows. Is there a function associated to the workbook you posted?

    Thanks

No, you are not, it was myself. I thought I have attached the code, but I did not . Please check it now. It is not a formula, but a code.

Re: Text to Row instead of to column comma separated and associate related cells

Thank you. I see the "Run Me" button, but how do I use it?

In my actual data sheet I have 2 columns (column A being the identifier cell, and column B being the comma seperated values) and over 600 rows of data to apply this to. Do I copy and paste into the workbook you gave me? If so, where do I paste it?

    I really appreciate your help.

I figured it out. I can paste my info anywhere on the page and click "Run Me"

    Thank you AB33!!!!

If you want, I can change the code so that the output would be in a new(separate) sheet.
