Best Way to Represent Paper Survey Question in Excel

Hi,

I am creating an Excel spreadsheet/template for data entry based on a paper survey. I am having trouble figuring out how to best represent the two highlighted questions on the attached survey.

The questions are: No of Key Informants, where the data entry clerk needs to specify each informant type and the number.

The second is question number 6, where data entry clerk needs to indicate what development projects are occurring in the village tract being assessed.

It seems a bit clunky to break this question up into multiple columns but is there any other way to do this in Excel when the survey has multiple possible answers and more complex question types such as these?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Lyndy

I solved this myself by using a macro to allow the user to insert multiple responses into one cell.

The code to do this is below:

lyndy,

I have corrected the code tags for you. You need to place
Please Login or Register to view this content.
at the end.

Re: Best Way to Represent Paper Survey Question in Excel

Thank you! I have been hitting the # sign before and after I paste code but it doesn't work. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

1. I cut the code from my work book.
2. I paste code into my thread
3. I place # before and after code.

Where am I going wrong?

Please advise so I can correct this.

Best,
Lyndy
