    Macro to split cell data across multiple cells based on format-

    Hello,

    I am asking for help with a .pdf that loses some formatting when exporting to Excel. I have merged all cells on each row into column A to make all of the data consistent.

    I have attached an example workbook, but what I need help with is splitting the data into specific cells based on the format.

    For example;

    Set number format_______________Text and numbers, character amount varies____________Set date format_____________ Set number format

    00-ABC-0000 ____________________ This is a description of a produce item ________________00/00/0000_______________ 000000-00-0000-00000

    Column ___A _______________________________B _______________________________________ C _______________________________ D

    The zeros can be any number.

    There may also be a second type of data format;

    ____A _________________________________________B_______________________________________________ D
    00 000_________________________ This is a description of a produce item_____________________ 000000-00-0000-00000

    None of the data lines up very well in the export, so text to columns tool is not an option. As always any help with this is greatly appreciated!

    So am I adding the different formats in between your " "? If so would it be "**-ABC-****" and so on to cover all possible number combinations?

    Thank for your patience.
