My MS word is not saving files after I ran a code in excel

    Dear Experts,
I am not sure if it’s a coincidence or what…. I ran a VBA code in excel earlier today and after a while when I started working on MS word I was not able to save document at all.

While working on MS word I get this message that auto saving document1 was postponed. Have tried looking a various places on the web but of no help.
Please not when I open word in safe mode or with run winword /a I can save the document.

I tried to restore it to day before yesterday but of no use. Exceptional thing that I noticed before restore started was a msg box VBS running…….(couldn’t read it fully and system booted).

Has anyone experienced this before or can someone help me why is this happening.
    Please advise. Best Regards/VKS

P.S: Excel is working fine and i am using word 2007

    Hello All,
This is what I found on the net and worked for me. Sharing it here…. Just in case……
Almost all post said do it on your own risk as this involves changing registry so please
“DO IT ON YOUR OWN RISK” …… it worked for me
Click on windows button (I use XP), Click on Run and type regedit and enter and go to following folders
HKEY_CURRENT_USER Then Software Then Microsoft Then Windows Then Current version Then Explorer Then User Shell Folders
On the right side of the pane you will see a list where first one reads
(Default) and under Data header it reads (Value not set)
After that everything has a prefix of %USERPROFILE%\ check if its missing for any name
(In my case it was missing from Cache where it read F:\Temporary Internet Files)
Replaced F:\ with %USERPROFILE% and everything started working fine
To replace I clicked on Cache & Edit String Dialogue box popped up where I typed
%USERPROFILE%\Temporary Internet Files under Value Data

    Best Regards/VKS
