    Application-defined or object-defined error

    Hi,

I am running into a problem wherein VBA keeps throwing a "Application-defined or object-defined error" error. I don't understand why it is doing this. I don't think there is an error in the code, as I tried running old code, which I haven't modified in over a week (and which was running perfectly before), and it is still giving me this problem.

Is it possible that there is a setting somewhere that I changed or something that might cause this problem?

    Thanks

    Mike

    Re: Application-defined or object-defined error

    Hi Mike,

Check that there hasn't been a reference that has dropped off between the code that's working and the one that's not from within the Visual Basic Editor (i.e. where the macros are).

These are can be found via the References option from the Tools menu.

    Hi Robert,

Thanks for the reply. I checked the references and there doesn't seem to be any reference missing, although I'm not 100% sure I know which ones are meant to be ticked?

Depends on what the macro is doing i.e. send an email, creating an instance of another application...etc

Post the macro which may shed some light the issue(s).
