Filtering a column using a list for criteria

Hey guys, this may be a difficult problem to explain, but I'll give it a try. I have attached an example, too.

I have a column that contains a list of names (Sheet1) and a column on another sheet (Sheet2, column C) that I want to use the filter to see where that column (C) contains those names. So basically I want a filter that searches for variable text (defined on Sheet1) without typing in that text for each name individually for the filter.

When the filter is on, I want the macro to copy the information from the columns labeled Data1 and Data2 (A and B) and paste them to right (as shown in red in the example).

Don't feel obligated to do the whole thing, but any suggestions would be a great help.

    Thanks!

With text to column and after that a pivot table.

    see the attached file.

Thank you oeldere, that's exactly what I want.

Would you explain how to do this in VBA?

    It's not made with VBA.

You can record the manual actions to get the VBA code.
