autosize all rows in a column

I've run into an issue with a huge workbook that I've built using excel 2003 where my macro to go back and select Column E (which is actually merged with columns F:H ...so E:H really) and wrap text fails due to what I understand is a functionality issue with 2003. Instead of redesigning everything I was hoping there might be a way to use VBA to adjust the size of all of the rows in that column so that everything is visible without having to click on the cell and read it in the formula bar. (which is only showing the formula I used to pull the text from another part of the workbook.)

I would need it to change the width of the row to fit any data in column E (Merged E:H) or to be more specific E35:E1000.
    Is this possible?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
