Lightbulb Enable/Disable a checkbox depending on the sheet where it resides.

I am trying to enter code that will disable (gray out) a checkbox when the sheet on which it resides is protected, and become active when the sheet is made to be unprotected (password is involved). I am working with Excel 2007. I'm new to VBA.
