Hi everyone,
I'm trying to develop a workbook to assist in performance measurement and need a bit of help. I know that one can insert hyperlinks fairly easily by simply copying a cell and pasting it as a hyperlink through the clipboard, but I was wondering if it might be possible to assign a key or set of key strokes to perform this function instead. Ideally I'd like to create something akin to a hashtag system, or the previous method of tagging someone in a post on Facebook; enter a special symbol (#, @, etc.) into one cell, then click on the cell to which you want it linked, hit enter and be done. I'm trying to make this function as user friendly as possible for others using the workbook, so I'd like to avoid having to copy, paste, or any other steps. I've tried using Ctrl+K, but it keeps prompting me to select a file, which I'd like to avoid. This would all be contained within the one workbook, so there would be no need to worry about hyperlinking to other files.
I assume it must be possible to do this manually, record the macro and then simply assign the macro to a particular key, but I'm not certain as to how precisely this might be accomplished. Any ideas?
Thanks!
