I was wondering if anyone knew how to do the following:
FOR REFERENCE:
Excel Doc name: 'Devon Master Tracker'
Specific tab name: 'TM TRACKER'
1) Click "search" input first & last name. These match against columns A (first) & B (last) and can be full or partial inputs.
2) If found - prompts w/ verification text "do you want to update 'first last name.' Default answer - 'yes'; secondary answer 'next' (goes to next person that meets criteria); 3rd answer 'cancel'
3) If yes - then date stamps (ex. 5/27/13) in column 'O' in the appropriate row
Optional additions:
4) After you date stamp -prompt you with "Update next contact?" 'Yes' - opens a text box where you can input w/e you want to update the column with (e.g., 6/13 Schedule 1st meeting or w/e). 'No' exit's screen.
The idea behind this is for any sort of communication tracker that when you send an email to a prospect etc. you can quickly search for them and date stamp the last correspondence. The ideal way to do this would be to have some sort of outlook addon that you can click to update a sheet in an excel form but I doubt that is doable. What do you think - I'd love to hear your thoughts... I've looked everywhere and not found how to do this.
Thanks!
Devon
