Transferring data based on drop down selection to another sheet on the same workbork

    Hi there,

I am no excel wizard and I am wondering if there is a formula or macro that will automatically transfer data to another worksheet in the same workbook based on what is selected from a drop down list. I am attaching my workbook in question. For example, I would like to add D8+E8 on the timesheet and, based on what is selected from the drop down list in F8, have that total be transferred to the appropriate job # on the job sheet, but I want to do that with everyday. I will also have several timesheets, one for each employee. Would it be possible to have a running total of the number of hours worked at each job that includes everyday with every employee?

    Hi
Have a look at the sample attached. I have moved the Job Column on the first entry to assist with the calculations. Also the calculations I have done is for Jan so you can see how to do the remainder.
Let me know if this helps you.
    Good luck.

    Hi Tony,

Thanks so much for your help. I might be doing something wrong but I can't get it to calculate based on what is chosen from the drop down list. I want all the hours I choose for job # 5002 to add up on the job sheet.

    Hi
I have added the formulae for the whole of Jan now as you can see. The formulas all work correctly.
Let me know how you get on.
    Good luck.
