Need to take an IP Subnet Range and Output Subnet Mask

Hello All, thanks in advanced for any help!

I have a spreadsheet with two columns as follows:

    ColumnA ColumnB
    Start IP End IP
    192.168.1.1 192.168.2.255
    10.10.1.1 10.20.255.255

What I need to do (if possible) is have Excel output the subnet mask in either dotted format (255.255.255.0) or bits (24) and place it in say ColumnC. Is this possible to do with Excel? I have thousands of IP Ranges that I also need the Mask and really dont want to do this manually.

    Thanks again!

    Hello Markh7999,

    Welcome to the Forum!

It would help to know if this for IPV4 or IPV6. My feeling is this is for IPV4. IPV6 is new and not as widely used as IPV4, but thought it best to check.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

    It is IPV4 addressing.
