How to create list of YouTube Videos and play selected one on a UserForm?

    Dear All,

I hope you are all well.

I need your assistance or opinion.

I've just learned how to embed a video in a Userform, which is amazing.

Is it possible to have a list of videos on a drop-down menu cell and play the selected video on a userform by clicking a command button?

I tried so far to type the cell number that contains the links under "Movie" properties but that didn't help.

You assistance on this matter will be highly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance and kind regards,
    Filipe

    Hi All,

    I have found a solution.

I was using ShockWave Flash and that was not working for a list of videos but worked though for a single one.

What I did was using the Web Browser instead.

If someone is interested to know the codes for it, please let me know.

    Cheers,
    Filipe Oliveira

    Hi Andrew,

    Sure, no problem.

First, I would suggest you to create a table with the video name on the first column and on the second one the link.

If you want to see the video on full screen, you need to change the link by deleting the "watch?" and substitute the "=" by a "/" as following:

    Original Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-Ru-T-b6iY
    Modified for full screen: https://www.youtube.com/v/e-Ru-T-b6iY

After this is done, please name the table (e.g. "YouTube") as you will need to mention the named range.

Please check the attached file with all the codes. The table is in the "Data" sheet.

Let me know in case of any doubts or if you need further information/clarification on this matter.

    Best regards,
    Filipe Oliveira.

    Hi Filipe,

thank you. I already found a way for the youtube display in VBA,but the list I didn't have, so thank you for that. (liked the pope video btw)

what I now am looking for is adding a livestream from the internet to the userform.
or one of a webcam of myown.

do you have a solution for this?

    regards andrew

    Hi Andrew,

I am glad that you liked the pope song.

I have a webcam at home and I am able to see it through the same userform I sent to you, unfortunately, not as a full screen but I have the camera controls, so is not so bad.

Just open the userform and instead of choosing a video, just type the link into the yello box and click "View Video" command button and let me know if that works for you.

    Best regards,
    Filipe Oliveira.
