Re: Cell Merge - Regarding

when you design the main sheet keep these in mind as far as possibleif you wantto use vba
see this reference
ref:http://www.ozgrid.com/forum/showthread.php?t=177019

1.do not have two rows of hedigs
2.do not have blank row or blank column. if blank row/column is required fill them up with 0 or x
3. any cosmetic changes you want to make do it at the last stage.
4. do not merge cells till the last stage. merge b1 abdB2 removed and w2ono kis writeen in B2

for.e.g.column head serial no. but no data
column heading remarks is not in the proper place.
blank rows are deleted.

if you are goig to use macro the column F may not be necessary

the first few lines of data are like this

Sl No WO No WO Value Difference
WO No AMD ALL Difference
LE100479/E2 316270 316270 0
LE100479/E4 1440000 1440000 0
LE100479/E6 479000 479000 0

however with these chanes in the data try tis macro
result is in J5

Re: Cell Merge - Regarding

Without even seeing what you have or what you are trying to do, I would strongly advise against merging cells - for any reason. All merging does is create and cause problems later on, with formulas and VBA
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
